For Earth Day this year, Apple has added a new video narrated by Apple CEO Tim Cook and a letter by Lisa Jackson, Apple’s head-honcho of green initiatives and the former head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The video references some of the things that were recently highlighted by Greenpeace, such as Apple’s use of 100% renewable energy for its data-centers, and [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][…] also shows Apple’s new sapphire facility in Arizona, which has been powered by clean energy from day one, as well as a new data center + solar farm that they’re building in Nevada.
