We all know recycling is good for the environment. We do our best to recycle paper, plastics and more. We also encourage the use of recycled material in our effort to stay green. But did you know that reusing material is even better for the environment than recycling?
Reuse of material is better than recycling it because recycling requires a large amount of energy and expenses which reuse does not require. Also reuse creates less air and water pollution than recycling.
So next time you are sorting out the clutter in your attic, think about what can be reused before throwing in the recycle bin.
Here are some ways to reuse:
- Find a new purpose to reuse it.
- Simply give it away to someone who can reuse it.
- Save and reuse gift boxes, ribbons and larger pieces of wrapping and tissue paper.
- Reuse boxes, packaging “peanuts” and bubble wrap for wrapping new parcels.
- Purchasing with reuse in mind is important, too. Cloth napkins, cloth diapers, dish cloths, quality tools and appliances, and refillable items all fit the bill.
كلنا نعلم اهمية اعادة التدوير بالنسبة للحفاظ على البيئة. ولذلك نحرص دائما على اعادة تدوير الاوراق والمواد البلاستيكية وغيرها. كما نشجع على استخدام الادوات المعاد تدويرها. ولكن هل كنت تعلم ان هناك ما هو افضل من اعادة التدوير؟ وهو إعادة الاستخدام.
فإن اعادة تدوير المواد المصنعة تقوم باستهلاك كمية كبيرة من الطاقة والموارد والاموال بينما لا تكلفنا اي شئ. كما ان اعادة الاستخدام لا تتسبب في تلوث الهواء والمياه مثلما قد تسبب عملية اعادة الادوير.
ولذلك عندما تقوم بفرز مقتنياتك القديمة فكر اذا كان يمكنك إعادة استخدامها قبل ان تقوم باضافتها الى سلة اعادة التدوير.
واليك افكار لاعادة استخدام بعض الأشياء:
- ابحث عن استخدام اخر لها
- قم ببساطة بإعطاءها بشخص يمكنه استخدامها
- قم باعادة استخدام اوراق الهدايا وشرائط التزيين
- قم باعادة استخدام العلب لارسال الطرود
- فكر في قابلية اعادة استخدام المنتج قبل شراءه. مثل المناديل المصنوعة من القماش والادوات ذات الجودة العالية والزجاجات القابلة لاعادة الملئ.
